SPRA was founded in 1932 to protect and enhance the amenities of the area. Today we continue to do this by:
- working with other local residents associations and Croydon Council to develop local planning policies that reflect the character and needs of the area
- monitoring planning applications and supporting residents where these are viewed as inappropriate or out of character
- monitoring and reporting defective pavements, kerbstones, streetlights and potholes
- organising a monthly Clean Up of local green areas
- supporting local schools and groups such as Neighbourhood Watch, Friends of Millers Pond and Friends of Spring Park Wood
