SPRA CHRISTMAS FAMILY QUIZ TRAIL – SUNDAY 7 DECEMBER 2025
Christmas-is-a-coming and SPRA is getting ready!
We’ll be putting up Christmas lights on Wickham Road early December and organising some fun to add to the pzazz!
There will be a SPRA FAMILY CHRISTMAS QUIZ TRAIL ON SUNDAY 7 DECEMBER starting at dusk (4pm) at West Wickham & Shirley Baptist Church (WW&SBC).
This page will be regularly updated with information about the event.
We are inviting family teams (made up of a minimum of one adult and one child and no maximum number) to turn up at WW&SBC at CR0 8EH (on the corner of Wickham Road and Monks Orchard Road) at 4pm on Sunday 7 December to start the Christmas Trail.
ENTRY IS FREE.
On the day you will be able to collect an entry form from the WW&SB Church entrance. The form will give you details of all the host business stops on (or just off) Wickham Road where a question will be posted on an outside window which you will need to answer. You’ll make your way along Wickham Road, checking in at a variety of businesses, and, once your team has completed all the question stops, everyone will head to The Crown Shirley CR0 8BA where there will be some small prizes for winners. Santa will be waiting inside the pub to welcome all the children. Our Civic Mayor, Councillor Richard Chaterjee, will be on hand to distribute prizes to the first teams across the finishing line.
Some guidelines:
- All teams must consist of a minimum of one adult and one child (no maximum number)
- The trail starts at 4pm at WW&SBC. All teams need to start the trail no later than 4.30pm
- Cross the finishing line at The Crown from 5pm onwards
- Use the TfL bus service or walk between the question stops
- Remember road safety and only cross Wickham Road at official pedestrian crossings
- Wear something festive
- Bring a torch and a pen/pencil
- Be careful – SPRA cannot take responsibility for any accidents or damage to people or property
